Summer BBQ Sunday!

Hello Fellow Riders,

It's time for our Summer BBQ!

Sunday 14 August starting 11:30.  Have a burger and discuss the route you will take going home.

The club will supply burgers, salad, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and ice cream cones.

We have chairs, but if anyone is coming by car, then please do bring a spare camping chair.

Please RSVP to Klaus Kreye by 16:00 Thurs 11 Aug 2011 to indicate that you'll be joining us. 

We will have a limited number of veggie burgers - please let us know.

Sunday Breakfast Ride to Salt Spring Island

Just a reminder that we are holding a Club breakfast at the Salt Spring Inn in Ganges this Sunday, 7 Aug 2011.  You need to take the ferry to arrive at the Salt Spring Inn about 1000.

Your choice of ferry,  Take the 9AM ferry from Swartz Bay to Fulford or the 8:40 from Crofton to Vesuvius. Coming from Fulford ferry, head in to Ganges, down the hill, turn left & go about 1 block.

The Salt Spring Inn is on the left.  From Crofton, Brian will meet that ferry at Vesuvius and be your guide.

• 11:30 Lunch break in Qualicum Beach at the Shady Rest
• 16:30 Arrive in Gold River (see your options below for booking your accommodation)
• 19:00 Dinner – Pipers on the Ridge, Neighbourhood Pub (250) 283-7533

Sunday July 17 2011

• 09:00 Depart Gold River on your own or ride to Tahsis or other destinations
• 10:30 Arrive in Tahsis River (about 3 hours round trip)

Summer is just around the corner (I hope) and before the searing heat is upon us I thought to remind you of the following events:

• 16/17 July - Up Island ride - Gold River/Sayward/Tofino/???
• 22/23/24 July - Moto GP - Laguna Seca - Ken Sherkin is looking for riders 
• 24 Sept - Port Renfrew/Cowichan Lake loop ride
• 25 Sept - Oyster Run - Anacortes

We do not have organisers, so I would like to gauge interest - please respond to any or all of the questions or provide any other feedback:
